Smoking - In accordance with Scottish legislation, the Castle is completely non-smoking.
Any guest found to be or have been smoking in the bedroom will upon departure, be charged a fee of £150.00 to cover the cost of a deep clean. Where there is no doubt that smoking has occurred, the charge will be applied without question. Smoking is not tolerated within the hotel and we request that guests respect the law in this matter.

Single occupancy - Single occupancy is available on request, please contact the hotel for further information.

Long stays - Long Stay rates available on request, please contact the hotel for further information.

Children - Children under the age of 3 are accommodated free of charge, you will only be charged for their food. Children aged between 3 and 14 are charged £25.00 per night on a bed and breakfast basis, you will be charged separately for food/drinks. We do not allow children under the age of 5 in the restaurant or library bar after 7pm. Please note that we do not allow babies or children to stay in Four Poster Rooms or Suites.

Bookings - To make your reservation simply telephone, fax or email us. We are happy to accept your credit card number to confirm the booking. We welcome Visa, Access and Mastercard but do not accept Diners or American Express or Cheques.

Deposits - For all reservations a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per room using a credit or debit card is required.

Cancellation - Bookings cancelled within 7 days of arrival will be liable to a cancellation charge equivalent to the first nights stay if we are unable to re-let the room. Different cancellation terms apply to private functions and bookings for more than three rooms and over Christmas and New Year. Cancellation insurance is available. Please ask for details. We do not accept cheques.
