OUR TEAM
Our staff at Castle Venlaw are all hand-picked for a very special reason. Whether you are staying with us for pleasure or on business, we want you to experience our high standards but we also want you to feel a warm family welcome. Each member of our team makes an important contribution to your stay here. Here are some of our key staff:

Chris Marsh, General Manager
Chris joined us in April 2004 having been Deputy Manager of a prestigious Hotel on Scotland's west coast. One of Chris' primary duties is the management of our weddings. He's the expert.


Zoë Edmonds, Deputy Manager
Zoë started working at Castle Venlaw in March 2003 having previously worked at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel.

She has recently been promoted to Deputy Manager and is responsible for looking after the hotel when Chris is away.



Fiona Mackenzie, Assistant Manager
After completing her hotel management degree at the Scottish Hotel School she was employed as a duty manager at Enterkine House in Ayrshire before joining us at Castle Venlaw.


Genevra Parker, Trainee Manager
Has joined us from the prestigious Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian where she was in charge of the restaurant in the members clubhouse. She is responsible for the restaurant and library bar in Castle Venlaw.


Head Chef, David Harrison
David has worked in the kitchen at Castle Venlaw since October 2003. He was promoted from his position of sous chef to head chef in May 2004, where he has worked hard to maintain our prestigious food standards.

He has a great interest in fresh food and is now trying to combine work with the rigours of having a new baby in the house!
