Wedding Options
Exclusive Use BookingsThe Castle is available for exclusive use at most times. The main benefit with this type of booking is that no other guests (apart from the ones at your wedding) will be allowed to use the hotel. The hotel and the services we offer will be fully yours for the duration of your exclusive use booking.
The rates are per night and are based on a stay of two or more nights. Prices include our 12 bedrooms to accommodate up to 24 adults, full Scottish Breakfast, an allowance of £25.00 per person towards dinner or wedding meal on each night, use of the Adam Room or lounge for the wedding ceremony and private use of the restaurant for dinner and VAT @ 17.5%.

One Night Stays
Exclusive use is for a minimum of 2 nights however there are certain times when we can accommodate one night stays. Please ask. If your stay is for one night please add 20% to the above prices.
Midweek Rates
In order to make savings on the costs we can offer you a discounted rate for stays that do not include Friday and Saturday nights particularly in our quieter months between November and March. Please give us an idea of your dates and we'll give you details but we guarantee a discount of at least 10% on the above prices.
Evening Entertainment
As the hotel has been booked exclusively we can offer a range of evening entertainment options to ensure that you and your guests have a day to remember. Please contact us direct for further information.
Making a Booking
We can hold a date for you for a maximum of 7 days after which time the reservation will either have to be confirmed or released. In order to confirm an exclusive use reservation we will require an initial deposit of £1000. Further deposits will be required 3 months and 6 weeks prior to arrival.
For weddings from 8 to 20 people, that do not wish to take exclusive use of the hotel, you may wish to consider booking our private function room, for your wedding meal. The Adam room is situated on the ground floor of the hotel and is ideal for smaller parties.
Private Wedding Parties
The charge for smaller weddings at the hotel is £450.00 (this rate excludes any minister donations or registrar fees.) Included in this charge is the hire of the Adam room for your wedding meal.
This room is also used for wedding ceremonies.
Private wedding parties can book a maximum of 6 guest bedrooms. Our normal room rates apply to parties who do not book all our rooms.
Evening Entertainment
Unfortunately, due to the size of the hotel, evening entertainment is not permitted unless you take exclusive use of the hotel. We can provide your party with a cd player should you wish to play background music for your guests during the evening.
Please note that due to the intimate nature of our library bar, it is only suited for small groups of people. The library bar is not suitable for larger parties (parties greater than 8 people). For parties larger than 8 people, a waiter service will be provided in the Adam room for your convenience.
Making a booking
We can hold a date for you for a maximum of 7 days after which time the reservation will either have to be confirmed or released. In order to confirm a private wedding booking we will require a deposit of £250.00 for the wedding and an additional £100.00 deposit per guest bedroom booked.
Cancellation and Wedding Insurance
In the event of cancellation of a confirmed booking the cancellation charge will equal the sum of deposits paid. If the booking is cancelled within three months of the date a charge equal to the full value of the booked services will be levied. We will, of course, reduce this by the value of any accommodation we are able to re-let.
Please note that insurance is available to cover cancellation charges. We strongly recommend you insure your wedding. This insurance covers such things as illness, accident, redundancy and travel difficulties. It also covers such things as wedding photos, dresses, presents etc. It will not cover you if you simply change your mind!
